Indianapolis' North Side Offers Additional Courses to its Stay & Play Packages
by: WebMaster - 3/19/2003 8:15:09 AM
Eleven hotels on Indianapolis' north side have teamed up with eight of Indiana's best golf courses to offer packages for visitors this season.  New in 2003, are the Brickyard Crossing, The Fort Golf Resort, Hanging Tree Golf Club and Ironwood Golf Club.

Often called the nation's 'most unique links,' Brickyard Crossing allows golfers to play inside and outside the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, while The Fort features a Pete Dye 18-hole course situated on a 238-acre natural setting.  Golf Digest awarded Hanging Tree 3  1/2 stars and Ironwood offers 27 challenging holes.

Four other premier golf courses, Prairie View Golf Club, Purgatory Golf Club, Plum Creek Country Club and Bear Slide Golf Club, are also included in the packages.  Prairie View Golf Club is Indianašs only Robert Trent Jones Jr. course.  Plum Creek Country Club is a Pete Dye design while Purgatory Golf Club offers six sets of tees on the longest par-72 course east of the Mississippi River.

Package prices start at $175.  Packages include one or two night hotel stay, breakfast, confirmed tee times, golf carts, a welcome gift and special pro shop discounts.

For more information on Stay and Play Golf Packages or to receive a free golf guide, call the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 1-800-776-8687.  Visit the web site at www.indianaspremiergolf.org.
