| Bay Harbor, Mich. – In a recent issue of Vacation Ownership Magazine, The Inn at Bay Harbor was named a “Top 20 Spa Resort.” The resorts chosen were based on feedback from several sources, including consumer surveys, personal visits by the staff of Vacation Ownership Magazine and industry reviews.
The honored resort list includes well-known Spa Resorts from around the world including such exotic locations as Fiji and Thailand. Thirteen of the twenty resorts are located within the United States with The Inn at Bay Harbor being the only Spa Resort chosen from the Midwest.
"It's very surreal to see yourself recognized at this magnitude," said Maureen Vipperman, Director of The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor. “The honor inspires us to strive even more for that five-star service.”
The Inn was noted for it’s stellar accommodations including waterfront balconies, lakeside views, in-suite fireplaces and charming cottage-style décor. Recreational attractions featured the outdoor heated pool, whirlpool, cabanas, hammocks, lawn chess, tournament croquet lawn, fire pit, non-motorized trails, children’s playground, arcade and fully equipped exercise room. Highlighted area activities included fishing, horseback riding, racquetball, tennis, water skiing, sailing rentals and winter skiing. The spa facilities were praised for their promotion of health, mind and body through massage, facials and body treatments drawing from European and Far Eastern principles and products.
The Inn at Bay Harbor recently introduced The Salon at The Spa to service men, women and children’s hair care and styling needs. The Salon offers haircuts, color and highlighting services, in addition to makeup application and special occasion up-do’s.
