MEDINAH, Ill. (AP) – Another Major, another Tiger win?
Local favorite Luke Donald may have something to say about that.
Ok, it may be a stretch to say that Donald can compete with Tiger Woods on Sunday at the PGA Championship, but the former Northwestern star will get his chance as he tees it up on Sunday with Woods in the final group at the PGA Championship at Medinah Country Club.
Woods fired a course record 7-under par 65 to tie Donald for the top spot at 14-under going into the final round.
While Donald has positioned himself well for his first major the odds are against him and the rest of the field. Woods is 11-0 when leading going into the final round of a major.
Mike Weir sits in second, two shots back, after matching Woods 65. U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy sits in fourth alone at 11-under.
