| Chris Couch continued his consistent play at the LaSalle Bank Open Friday, shooting a 4-under par 67 that moved him to 9-under for the tournament lead at the Glen Club in Glenview.
Couch, currently #5 on the Nationwide Tour money list, moves into the third round with a two-shot lead over local favorite Jess Daley who shot a 65 on Friday.
Daley, who received a sponsors exemption into the tournament, shot the lowest round of the tournament so far with his 7-under par round.
The LaSalle Bank Open can boast of having a very strong field due in part to the largest purse in Nationwide Tour history at $750,000. The winner will take home $135,000 for his efforts and an exemption into the PGA TOUR’s Cialis Western Open later this month at Cog Hill in Lemont.
